I did just check and there is a "feedback" email address for the developer of FBReader: running it under an Android emulator (if there is such a thing) seems a bit unwieldy, and although I read a comment recently that if one chooses to use Chrome as their browser, they can run Android apps through it, I don't know if that's true and it seems to be a little extreme for anyone who wishes to keep Google from reaching even deeper into their lives, lol.Īnd this is disappointing to me I didn't recommend FBReader randomly - I did so because I use it (linux laptop, Android cell phone) and have found that it does what I need without distracting me from its purpose (allowing me to read eBooks and, if necessary, to adjust things like fonts/font sizes) and thought you might like it. After doing a little more checking, it appears that you are correct. I checked the links and they seem to be for android app. See if you can get it to work, maybe I'm missing something. Thanks, I just installed it, but how would I install the text-speech-plugin. Apparently, TTS (again, via plugin) is supported both in the native linux version and the Android port of FBReader.
